I succumbed to the lure of sparkles!   Not willing to spend $16.50 to see if the vamp does indeed sparkle in the sun like diamonds I was, however, willing to spend $9.

Unlike the aussie sewing guild where I lower the average age, at the screening I went to I was definitely old enough to be everyone elses mother!  akkkkk.

This isn't one of The Worst Ever Remakes.  OK it doesn't match my memory of the original which I think still holds it's own on screen.

My friend C won a double pass to a preview screening on Monday, so off we trotted to see it. We were both surprised that it was packed out being only a couple of days before xmas - last minute shopping  all.

After C stayed Friday night & was woken up by my bronchitic coughing on Saturday, I headed off to get my hair cut & she to practise her typing (literally).  Made it to the Dr's for their 9am opening (yes I'll get up that early for my haircutter) and we then had brunch & checked our emails/etc.

CrazyCatLady was making sure everything was packed for their 6am flight to Aotearoa the next morning, as was another of the irregulars (packing to go overseas, but not NZ).  Ripley's been working to 10pm each night to meet deadlines (the joys of self employment).

One of my good friends won a double pass to a preview session of Four Holidays (aka Four Christmases in the USA), complete with drinks & canapes before the film.  mmh the wine was a really nice sauvignon blanc and the canapes were really nice too.

Friend C and I took advantage of my Friday afternoon off and the cinebuzz movie of the week (ie discounted) to go see Nights in Rodanthe.
